History
Years of shared experience with therapists, students
and clients have evolved a sense of community and co-creative development and openness to an emergent future.
We
initiated Integrative Intentions (II) with a “Dreaming with the Matrix of Life” workshop late in 2002.
We had a deep rich experience with this first workshop. As Buffalo Dreaming, we engaged in the spirit of the buffalo
at Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve to share in their dreams and visions of the cycle of life to facilitate a co-healing with the
earth, buffalo, individuals and all our relations (Mitakuye Oyasin).
A significant feature of The Dreaming is a
melding with the land, other species and each other in a co-process of co-healing and integration. We engage our relationships
with the cycle of life and continue with a sense of joy, vision and acceptance of all. In order to further the Vision
of healing through The Dreaming, Integrative Intentions is developing, supporting, accommodating and promoting a wide variety
of educational programs, workshops, therapy programs, group gatherings, study groups and activities.
For us, this
Dreaming is more than a metaphor, concept or idea. It is beyond consensus realities and languages, yet part of every
moment and is being revealed in our immediate lived intentions and experiences. We hope to facilitate this via Integrative
Intentions.
This was followed at the beginning of 2003 with our first Comprehensive Therapy Program, which we
have continued.
Over the years, we developed the CTPs evolved classes, study groups, workshops, therapist
retreats and presentations. The ecology of health has included other species as part of this process.
II programs have been provided throughout the United States in Indiana, Illinois, California, Oregon, Michigan, Missouri
and New Mexico and internationally in Iceland, Ireland, Portugal, Panama, Columbia and Germany.
II is now centered
in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. We love this place: town, people, landscape, healing waters. We are
particularly attracted to the presence of hot springs in this caldera, a source of healing offered by the earth and spirit.
Our center has hot springs water rights which we intend to steward for healing. We find many kindred souls here, dedicated
to art, music, poetry, healing, ecology and community. Currently, we spend a lot of time on the road and enjoy a worldwide
community of friends and colleagues. Here we have a local diverse community. Thematically, we find individual
health and healing is intrinsically interrelated to healthy work, relationships and environment. T or C is a diverse
community with a town center next to the Rio Grande and Turtleback Mountain. There are many hot springs establishments
varying in price and style. Much of the town is “retro” 40’s, 50’s 60’s with its own unique
charm.
We invited therapists from the II programs to come visit for our first Christmas in T or C.
We provided a day of free treatment for the residents of T or C. We shared and played and had an open mic community
event in the yard. Our thanks to all who were part of this new venture.
The II community of therapists, students,
clients and staff have continued to be integral aspects of our development, providing the hearts and soul of II.
