Last
year we had an extraordinary experience in Panama
(go to Ecortreat 2/2007 Panama for pictures) in Playa Blanca, near Portobelo.
A group of 32 children from Portobelo danced and sang with us, later we treated them in the
water. We had volcanic mud on our faces, went kayaking,
snorkeling, and had daily CST treatments on land and in the beautiful beach of Playa Blanca. We were hoping for dolphins but
instead nature presented us with a whole new concept SAT - Sloth Assisted Therapy. And so we went with the flow and
just hung out with friends enjoying the slow pace of life in Playa Blanca.
This year we are going to Isla Palma, Colombia, off the coast of Cartagena, to a small, intimate hotel that has
two dolphins, Fiona and Camila. Our friend and therapist Chris Slate has been to Isla Palma and has introduced these
two dolphins to the energy of cranio-sacral bio-aquatic work. During the retreat, we will spend time in
the water with Camila and Fiona. Our intention is to further acquaint them with our work, by offering them
healing touch, and inviting them to participate in our treatment sessions. This is a new process for these
dolphins and we want to honor their space and their needs at all times and respect them in every way. That
said, we cannot guarantee a specific amount of time in minutes or hours with them, or any specific activities.
We will feel this out with them as we go along.
We can just hope that they and we remain open to whatever experiences evolve with our exchange. This
retreat is to support each other as therapists in our own professional and personal growth and healing while incorporating
the beautiful environment that surrounds us and be one in the spirit of healing with all the living creatures.
It’s a unique opportunity to connect with each other, the earth and beyond, and explore to our heart’s
content.
When:
April 6-12
Arrive
in Cartagena Colombia on the 6th. The group will stay at the Decameron
Cartagena the night of the 6th and will be taken to the boat by bus the next morning The boat departs approximately at noon
(give or take an hour... latino timing) and arrives at Isla Palma approximately 2 hours later (give and take a few again).
That afternoon we will check into our rooms and have our first group gathering to discuss the schedule and details for the
following days.
7th
– 11th therapy retreat in Isla Palma starting approximately at 9:00 a.m until each group decides
it is finished
12th early AM trip back to Cartagena. Flights out of Cartagena should be scheduled to
depart after 3:00 PM. The bus will meet us at the dock for transport to the airport or
to hotel depending on your arrangements for that day. If you plan to stay extra nights we can make arrangements
with the hotel for pricing but the payment for extra nights beyond the night of the 11th will be your resposibility

Participants are responsible for their own air travel to Cartagena,
Colombia and for transportation from the airport to the hotel and from the boatdock on the 12th to the airport.
Arrangements can be made to stay in Cartagena the night of the 12th or longer, at your own expense.

Multiple modalities of treatment given
over a concentrated period of time can often help facilitate healing in a more efficient and profound way. Our Comprehensive
Therapy Program provides access to multiple complementary therapies to enhance a person's healing process.
The program
will run for five consecutive days from 9:00am until 4:00 pm. Primary therapists with advanced training in CranioSacral and
SomatoEmotional Release therapies will be assisted by other support therapists.
Adjunct therapists will provide complementary therapies that may include: Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatic Drainage,
Acupuncture, Acupressure, Massage Therapy, Zero Balancing, Chiropractic, BioSonic Repatterning, Equine Therapy, Aquatic Therapy,
, Auricular Therapy, Hynotherapy and daily group discussion.
To maximize the experience, therapists are encouraged to stay at the Oakwood Retreat Center for the program.
This
program is limited to 9 clients, 10 primary therapists and additional support therapists. Additional adjunct therapists
will be practicing as clients' needs present. Pre-registration is required for both clients and therapists.
Fees: $2,850 per client includes therapy and consultations.
Lodging at Oakwood Retreat Center is $375 for 12 years old and over. For children under 12, there is a fee of $150
per child. There is no fee for
children under the age of 3 years. These fees include meals. This will be payable Integrative
Intentions, LLC.
